Goofy Pics and Monstrous Calves...

I laid today's outfit out on Monday for Memorial Day, but I was feeling lazy and opted for jeans instead (a.k.a. I didn't feel like shaving my legs...hehe).  This morning, I decided that I'd be lazy no more! besides its about time for these pale legs to get a little sun exposure (even if it is only on my lunch break... damn office job!)

I should start by saying that this is the look I really want, buuuuuuut since I am trying not to shop I thought I'd try to make it work with what I've got in my closet already (why does saving automatically mean cuts to the clothing budget? Is food really a necessity? Can't I live without gas? okay, j/k!!)  At some point I am going to break down and buy a long white smocked skirt.  The sad part is I am 99% positive I had one back in 03-05 when the peasant skirt wave was in full swing...

What I'm Wearing...
~ LAL denim button down, purchased at Marshall's for $16.99
(I feel like the darker denim is more fall-ish, I really want a chambray top for summer. They have a great one at American Eagle Outfitters for $16 but of course they don't have my size!)
~ Off-white Old Navy knit pleated skirt circa 2008
~ Woven brown belt circa 2008???
~ Gianni Bini nude pumps with embroidered flower detail circa 2007
~ Forever 21 fedora (last season)
~ Tiffany's toggle choker necklace
~ Silver tone hoop earrings a la Target

This morning, I was very torn about the belt...

my monstrous calves, which I didn't embrace until high school. Up until then I absolutely HATED them. Buying shaft boots is still a bit of a task...

Sorry for the photo ambush!!! I finally got my new camera charger so I got a little snap happy!!! So what do you guys think??? How did i do with utilizing what I already had in the closet?? I have to admit, I still wanna go out and buy a long white smocked skirt, and a chambray top, buuuuut I'm proud of myself for sticking to my budget.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
