Goofy Pics: OOTD + Seven "Dojo" Jeans @ Costco for $100!!

Don't ask why I'm up at 1 am blogging.  I'm having a little trouble sleeping. Perhaps it was the nap I took at 6???  This really sucks because I actually feel tired, but I just can't sleep so here I am.  I actually meant to post my OOTD earlier today, but I was feeling a little lazy, hence early evening nap.  These pictures were taken by my cousin/roomie, Nathan in the Trader Joe's a.k.a. the best store ever, parking lot.  The other night he asked me who takes the pics for my blog, and why I look like I'm on the verge of hysterical laughter in all the pics, to which I replied...didn't you read the title "Goofy Pics?"  I'm not on the verge of laughter, I am actually laughing... hysterically! Lol.  Today he asked me to go run errands with him, and I told him that he had just earned himself the Photographer of the Day award! Yippee!!!!

What I'm Wearing...
~ Sheer Blouse
~ Brown leather belt
~ Boyfriend Jeans, thrifted (You guys probably think these are the only jeans I own. Lol. What can I say they are so damn comfy!
~ Jessica Simpson "Sember" slingback peep toe bootie
~ Bakers "Beack St." handbag (seen here and here)
~ Mossimo sunglasses from Target.
~ Gold tone hoop earrings from Target

While we were out I picked up the latest issue of People: Style Watch.  For some reason, this is the only magazine that I read faithfully but do not have a subscription to. I think I should cancel my Marie Claire (not sure why, but it doesn't tickle my fancy) and get this one instead.  It's a great magazine for pics. There aren't really any articles... Just a ton of pictures and it always tells you exactly where you can buy the clothes. I like to rip the pages out for style inspiration.

I look about 18 in this picture...smh.  Oh well, I hope I look 10 years younger than my actual age when I'm 50.

Trader Joe's always has the most amazing flowers at the most amazing prices.  Last week that had amazing peonies in bunches of 5 for about $7...Peonies are SO expensive usually.

One of our other stops while were out today was Costco in Manhattan Beach. They had 7 "Dojo" Jeans for $109.99. Great price! If you live in the LA area and you're looking for a great Trouser Jean, go check them out!

They also have really cute Levi's Boyfriend Jeans for the low, low price of $17.49.

Lol...Nathan is holding the jeans up while I take a picture and he's quite embarrassed :)

SATC2 Review + Miranda's Look for Less + Giveaway

I meant to do this yesterday but I got so wrapped up in my nude wedge find and I ran out of time. Well, I have to say that I loved the movie! Actually liked it much better than the first movie. The first one was such a prototypical drama and it just didn't stay true to essence of the show = 4 best girlfriends sharing their lives, getting into trouble, and having fun along the way. In the 1st movie, the addition of the Jennifer Hudson character, the fight between Miranda and Carrie, and Samantha being all the way in LA made took away from what we all loved about the show... watching the girls together. Now, that's not to say that i didn't enjoy the 1st one, because I did, but the 2nd one really stayed true to the show.  It was all about the girls, having fun, getting in trouble, and sharing whatever was going on in their lives... and I loved it!  I know it didn't get great reviews from the critics, but what do they know (Lol)... I definitely recommend checking it out!

Now, of course, it goes without saying that the clothes were AMAZING!!! Carrie was her normal fabulous self.  The thing that I love about Carrie is that it looks effortless (more so on the show, than in the movies). Now of course, we know there is a team of stylists behind every look, but there's something about her character that makes me feel like I could be equally fabulous.  I don't roll my eyes and say "I could look like that too, if I was a millionaire," ya know?  I walk away feeling like I could put together some equally fabulous looks on my thousandaire budget :)

Now for all the hardcore Sex and the City fans, did you guys catch the throwback Dior Newsprint Dress Carrie brought back from Season 4?  It's the dress she wore when she stalked Natasha to apologize for wrecking her marriage...What an awesome throwback...

On that note, the character that gets the I Want Her Style Award is actually Miranda.  Call me crazy, but I just don't remember Miranda Hobbes being all that stylish on the show.  She was kinda plain and...well...I don't know, but it wasn't stylish.  They've completely revamped her character's style.  Now, I'm not complaining...I'm loving her new found fly-ness.  One look in particular was etched into my mind, and I've just got to have it!  This gorgeous white Hermes button down shirt dress paired with a white blazer and white straw hat is TO DIE FOR!  Honestly, this picture does not capture how fabulous she looked, but it was the only one I could find.

Obviously, an Hermes dress is totally out the question, but I took a stab at recreating the look, and was able to find some great, affordable alternatives. What do you think? Don't be surprised if you see me around the streets of LA channeling my inner Miranda...

I have been unbelievably lazy this weekend! I'm probably to young to be spending holiday weekends in the house... in my undies... blogging, but the truth is doing NOTHING has been great! Lazy weekends are a treasured rarity!  The weather is really nice in LA, so I should probably get out and enjoy it.  Maybe I'll go to the beach and walk around...read a book...If I can manage to pull myself out of bed and get out of the house today, I have a really cute OOTD in mind...stay tuned...

p.s. Is anyone else totally excited about the Eat, Pray, Love movie??? Julia Roberts + Elizabeth Gilbert = Fabulous! I can't wait!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

p.p.s. Really quick! I just started following a new blog -- Untamed Ramblings and the author is having her first giveaway! She is giving a way pair of never-worn, black gladiator platforms, size 7 1/2. Click here for more details and contest rules. While you're there follow Paper Hearts blog... she writes about fashion, arts, and music... and she's looking to start her own online store. Should be some great deals!

The Nude Wedge Saga Continues...with progress

Yesterday, I think I may have found a pair of shoes to temporarily quench my indelible thirst for the perfect pair of nude wedges.  What do you guys think?  I purchased these shoes at Wild Pair and they were on sale for $29.99, perfect for my current budget.  They are 50 - 70 bucks less than my nude wedge front runners from Aldo and Nine West(show below).  I like everything except the little notch in the wedge...could have done without that, but when I put the shoes on my feet I forgot all about it because they just looked so stinkin' cute. I have 30 days to take them back if I decide I don't like them...hmmmmmm

Nude wedge

I'm still lusting after either of these two options, which are actually relatively inexpensive, but I'm trying to hold out for a good sale, and I think the Wild Pair option are pretty cute in the interim, and they're different enough from either these to have both later (spoken like a true shopaholic)...

Nine West - $80 Piperlime.com (click image)

These have also been added to the Lust List as of this morning.  I saw them on J's The Look 4 Less blog. They are on her "3 Wishes" list, and they've now been added to mine... ha!

Pour La Victoire - $275 a.k.a. Out of the Question on Endless.com (click image)

Aldo actually has a wedge that is very similar in style for only $90 that may actually move to the top of the list... I'm just not sure how I feel about the dark wood wedge...

Oh Red Bottoms... Why Must You Taunt Me So?

Off to see Sex and the City, but I just had to post about these Louboutin Studded Pumps Alica Keys rocked last night at the Keep a Child Alive Ball in London. OMG!!!!!!!!!  These shoes are THE BOMB!!!  (am I the only person who still uses that expression...LOL) When it comes to shoes, we all know nobody makes our hearts flutter like Louboutin.  These shoes are worth whatever insane amount of money they cost... they are sooooo fabulous! *lusting*

For those of us who live in the real world of rent and and student loans, where $1,000 shoes are not an option, here are a couple less expensive renditions of the studded pump.  I'll be the first to admit the are not quite as fabulous, but they are very cute nonetheless and they give you the same glitz meets edgy look.  Click the images to purchase!

Today, I channeled my inner Carrie with a the help of a green floral headband I purchased at my local beauty supply a couple days ago.  The flower is huge...maybe obnoxious for some, but I like it although I have to admit I was very torn about it.  I had one of those mornings where you put something on.. take it off...put it back on... and then say... "ahh what the hell!" What do you guys think?  My fiance' gave it a thumbs down... LOL!!!

What I'm Wearing...
~ Xhileration sundress, purchased at Target last summer
~ Floral headband purchased at my local beauty supply
~ Guess lace-up strappy sandals purchased at a Guess factory sale
