Encore

The first thing you may notice about my outfit is that it is comprised of the same elements in last weeks Lacey Gray look...denim + lace + fedora + fringe = casual boho chic.  What can I say, I guess this look is just speaking to me these days.  I have been beyond busy preparing for a conference with my job so I've been leaning towards outfits that are comfortable and quick.  I just don't have much time to fret these days.  I love this denim maxi dress.  It is super comfy, and I think it totally embodies a country summer (at least from a city girl's point of view...ha!).  And of course, it has pockets! and I LOVE dresses and skirts with pockets!

Speaking of the conference I'll be attending all week, you may remember that I mentioned I would be wearing a uniform pretty much all week.  Well, I thought you guys would get a kick out of my "convention shoes" Lol! Black aerosoles that I bought at DSW 4 years ago, which I store 11.5 months out of the year, whipping othem out twice yearly for my job's semi-annual conference.  Trust me, its either trade in the sassy platforms & stilettos for a week or cut off my feet after day #1, because surely that would be less painful thank walking around in heels. Lol!  Well, I've come to the conclsion that feet clad in aerosoles are much better than no feet at all.  So cheers to a week of pre-selected attire and aerosoles!

What I Wore Yesterday...
~ Denim maxi dress
~ Off-white lace caim (purchased at TJ Maxx, not sure of the brand)
~ Cathy Jean platforms (these are the same shoes I wore here, that you couldn't see)
~ Poppie Jones cognac suede fringe over-the-shoulder bag
~ Forever 21 Fedora
~ Arden B Necklace
~ H&M bangle
~ Target Wooden Bracelet
~ Forever 21 necklace

You may notice that I am not wearing sunglasses in these pictures! This is very intentional. I realized that I have been hiding behind the sunnies.  For some reason I just feel much more comfortable taking pics with them on.  I feel less self conscious.  I have to say that my pictures have come a long way since I first started my outfit posts back in April, but I do still feel a little insecure.  The sunglasses have been a crutch in that regard, buuuuut I feel like my blogger friends are my...friends.  That being said I think you guys need to see my eyes from time to time.

Don't you just love the back of this dress??? It is very cute with or without the cami underneath.  I wore this to work, so the cami was a must but I have worn the dress without a cami too!  It has a sexier vibe...perfect for a summer day at the beach or a festival...

On another note, Fabrice left today and headed back to ATL for the last couple weeks of bar prep.  Needless to say I am pretty bummed.  I hate to sound all mushy but I really miss him and it hasn't even been a full day.  I just got used to coming home every day looking forward to having a little dinner and spending time with him.  It kinda sucked when I remembered that I didn't have him to look forward to after a long day's work.  *sad face*  Oh well, there is nothing I can do about it for now. ugh!  The good news is this was officially the last "visit!" Yay!  The next time we see each other, I'll be moving, and I can't wait!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
