Maxed Out at the Farmer's Market

Yesterday, I spent a little time with my college buddies, one of which just made a big announcement. SHE'S HAVING ANOTHER BABY!!! Yay!!!! Congratulations Dee Dee! (by the way, for all you Fashionista mommies out there, Dee Dee has an amazing mom blog -- Mommygaga... I'm talking freebies, and coupons, and mom tips galore.. go check her out at http://www.mommygaga.com.  Anyway, I had a great time hanging out with Dee Dee and her son MJ who were visiting from San Diego, and her sister Laurina.  We went to the Sherman Oaks Farmer's Market, which is always a treat. It's produce heaven (they have tons of free samples), and they have a few cool jewelry booths, too.

Laurina was kind enough to snap a few shots of my outfit. I mentioned before that I am totally digging maxi skirts. They were all over the Fall '10 runways!!!.  Yesterday, I decided to make one of my maxi dresses dress work double duty as a skirt. I threw a black v-neck t-shirt on right over my dress, and belted it with a basic leather belt slung low on my hips. Done and done.  Funny thing is, when I got to the Farmer's Market it was blazing hot, so I decided to take the tee off and just wear it as a dress. Worked out perfectly!

Check out the Jr. Fashionist-o next door! Isn't he just adorable?  I was trying to get him to show his muscles, but he was being shy. Of course, as soon as I stepped out of the frame, he decided to flex on us... kids! I tell ya!

I stopped at a couple jewelry booths with some really cool stuff.  If you ever have a chance to visit the Sherman Oaks Farmer's Market stop by the Pearls Plus: Custom Jewelry by Susie booth.  She even has a $5 table!
