Vest: Old Navy, Tank: Old Navy, Bag: thrifted, Jeans: random, Shoes: Sheikh, Sunnies: Target
I love the idea of wearing sequins in the daytime. The key to making it work is pairing them with very casual, basics in matte fabrications like denim or knit. If you're feeling unsure about how to pull off sequins in the daytime, check out the latest issue of In Style Makeover. The "Take it From Night to Day" spread features actress Piper Perabo rocking glitzy sequin dresses glammed all the way down with knits and denim and she looks fab! I scoured the web for pics but I had no luck :(
Now, let's talk about the bag. I bet you can guess where I got it....that's right...the thrift shop!! for the low, low, price of $6. From the logo stamped on the front, it appears to be Michael Kors, but I can't really tell because there are no other labels or tags on the inside so it could just be some other random no name brand. I can tell you that it is a very good quality heavy leather. I just love the style of the bag altogether. It has a very rugged, worn in, raw look that is just fabulous. I bought this bag on the same day that I bought the three clutches and giant metallic tote. It was raining fabulous bags that day. It was definitely a rare occasion...
Now, did you happen to notice the cuff on my left arm? It is actually made from buffalo hide. I picked it up at the Farmer's Market this weekend. The lady who owned the booth was quite the character, by the way. Her sales pitch was basically that everything would look "so super sexy" on me. hmmm??? Anyway, she had some really cool stuff... I fell in love with the leather goods and decided on this simple cuff...
I wanted to thank everyone for the very honest feedback on the "utterly confused" outfit. Lol! Clearly, it was not my best look, but it probably isn't the worst thing I've ever worn...and it's probably safe to say it won't be the last questionable outfit post. Anyway, I hope you all like this military vest ensemble a little better! I know I do!
Thanks for stopping by!!
