These pants just fit perfectly! The "boyfriend" cut women's pants never fit this well... LOL! In my experience, finding a good pair of men's jeans at a thrift shop always has the perfect boyfriend fit! or of course, if you can fit into the hubby's digs, just
So, doesn't this color combo just make you wanna go jump and play in a pile of leaves! No? That's just me? I am so completely enamored with autumn. It is such a beautiful season. As you all know I moved to ATL from LA, the land of no seasons, but I am originally from Northern California and they actually do have seasons there! My grandparents live in Sacramento (more central CA) and as you drive through the neighborhoods in fall, you pass by homes with piles and piles of leaves in the front yard. I always loved how it looked (although, I was not the one raking them!)
Now on to the feet... I threw on a pair of navy blue and white striped socks with my Arden B. stiletto booties. I loved the peek of blue and white stripes under the rolled up courds. Of course, Fabrice looked at me like I was crazy and said "that doesn't even go, " to which I replied "it does go, just trust me!" and he just shook his head. But really, it does go! I think navy, green and brown are a fabulous combination. Navy is just another nuetral and int this case the navy socks are just an accent piece. It totally works (right? LOL)
The weather here in ATL has still been really warm during the day, but in the morning and at night it is very cold! We went out for a HOA meeting in the evening so I decided to thrown on my navy blue Ann Taylor blazer (last seen here). I still can't believe I got this thing for $9.99 at Goodwill. It is such a classic piece. I'll have it forever! Anyway, the buttons coordinated perfectly with the color of the courds, and of course the Navy tied back to the socks. The look is still not too matchy matchy, but it tied together well.
Oh, I can't believe I forgot to mention my beloved flower pin! Not sure that it really goes with this ensemble, but since when has that stopped me? LOL!
